Accreditation Advisory Board

The Accreditation Advisory Board (AKB) supports and advises both the Federal Government and the German Accreditation Body (Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH, DAkkS) on issues related to accreditation. The AKB office is located at BAM.

BAM Certification Body (BZS)

BAM certifies products and associated quality systems and carries out inspections in the framework of required monitoring activities. Certification is based on tests. The test results are assessed by BAM. Tests are performed at BAM or in exceptional cases by external accredited and monitored testing laboratories.

Standing committee of the Dangerous Goods Transportation Advisory Board (AGGB)

AGGB is the standing committee of the Dangerous Goods Transportation Advisory Board at the Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport (BMDV). AGGB advises BMDV on all safety matters concerning the transport of dangerous goods. Material specific risks and appropriate safety measures required during transport are discussed. Focal points are the transport of packaged goods, bulk goods, safety measures to be taken with tanks and pressure receptacles and vehicle related technical requirements.

Market Surveillance of Transportable Pressure Equipment (ERFA-MÜoD)

Market surveillance authorities carry out random checks to ensure that pressure equipment complies with national and international standards. In the event of non-conformity, the authorities initiate measures to prevent hazards for users and the public when handling transportable pressure equipment designs that are unsafe. The ERFA-MÜoD has the task of developing and updating a market surveillance concept for authorities. The market surveillance authorities inspect transportable pressure equipment on the basis of this concept.

Pipeline Commission (AfR)

AfR advises the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection(BMUB) on the safe transport of hazardous substances in pipelines and proposes regulations with state-of-the-art technologies.
