NDT&E-CE Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation in Civil Engineering Workshop and Training

27th June - 3th July 2018, Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM), Berlin

NDT&E in Civil Engineering and Surveying - Advanced Trainings aim to provide basic and cutting-edge knowledge on the latest development of instrumentation, principles, automation, signal processing, problem-solving techniques and case studies across multiple NDT&E-CE’s disciplines. The courses take place at the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) in Berlin, Germany. BAM provides a professional and independent environment allowing participants to learn the theory and to get hands on experience on state of the art equipment and methods.

The training courses are conducted on 5 days. Each day is subdivided into the morning session with lectures on the underlying theory and discussions about applications. Case studies are presented and discussed. Participants may present their test scenarios for discussion as well.

The afternoon part gives participants the opportunity to get the instruments explained and to get hands-on experience on reference specimens in the laboratories.

One day of the course is conducted at the BAM Test Site Technical Safety in Horstwalde, 50 km South of Berlin. Large test specimen are stored there as well as underground structures like piles.
Participants receive a certificate for their successful participation.
