No statutory regulations

The municipalities and communities usually set their own requirements in cemetery regulations.

Usually coffins must not prevent the decomposition process and shall not release any environmentally harmful substances when they decompose or burn. Particularly problematic are certain varnishings, handles and interior upholstery.
